I started writing songs when I was four or five. When I started taking piano lessions, my piano teacher suggested I enter the Ontario Music Teacher's Association Song Writing Competition with my compositions. I did so for a number of years, and one First Place three times, Second Place once, with an Hornourable Mention in the National Competition. Each time, I was awarded a certificate. I've been composing music for as long as I can remember. I'm greatful to have had an early start, and particularly with the encouragment of the ORMTA and those around me.
